Join the Kohl Children's Museum for a FREE film screening of “We Can All Help the Earth!” - a film about energy by sisters Zoë & Jada, who show us what we can do to reduce our carbon footprint!
One Earth Film Festival is a Chicago area film festival that creates opportunities for understanding climate change, sustainability and the power of human involvement through sustainability-themed films and facilitated discussion.
Almost 8 years ago, Green Community Connections introduced the annual One Earth Young Filmmakers Contest. The contest is open to students from grades 3 through college level and was created with the goal of engaging youth in the discussion about sustainability issues and getting them thinking about solutions.
Kohl Children’s Museum is pleased to facilitate the showing of three winners of the Elementary School level submissions, all students in the Chicago suburban area. Join us for a FREE online premiere viewing of these winners, as well as facilitated Q&A with the young filmmakers themselves.
Sisters Zoë and Jada use stop-motion, green-screen, and live action in their five-minute film to explain how electricity is produced, the dangers of using too much fossil fuel, and what each of us can do to reduce our carbon footprint.
Young Filmmakers Zoë and Jada attend Grades 3 and 2, Mann Elementary School and home school in Oak Park, Ill.
