Receive tax preparation services through the Center of Concern's VITA/TCE Tax Program.
Income tax preparation assistance is provided without the need to sit in a physical office. During the intake and consultation process, the client will provide the required documents to prepare their taxes. Trained and certified volunteer tax preparers review the documents and communicate with clients via phone, email, or video call to clarify details. Once the tax return is prepared, it undergoes a thorough review to ensure accuracy and tax law compliance. Clients then can review and approve the final return before it is electronically filed.
This service is available at no cost, though donations to the Center of Concern are welcome. For those unable to attend the events at the Niles-Maine Library, services are also available at the Center of Concern office in Des Plaines.
For more information, or to learn which documents should be brought for this service, contact the Center of Concern at 847-823-0453 or visit centerofconcern.org/taxes
