Participants will gain insight into the causes and meaning of the young child’s behaviors that can be labeled, “challenging.” A strategy will be presented for effectively observing and documenting these behaviors for the purpose of planning appropriate interventions and increasing the effectiveness of addressing challenging behaviors. A strategy, with a supporting resource packet, will be distributed. Eligible for Gateways professional development credits.
The District currently includes 59,000 people. Half of them live in the Village of Niles in the southern half of the District. The north half of the District includes unincorporated Des Plaines and Glenview.
