Do you love to make pictures? Here are instructions for a very special kind of picture that is made out of words.
You can use a blank piece of paper or a coloring page and transform it into a Concrete Shape Poem. The shape of the poem explains what the poem is about. They can be about any topic, and can be any length.
Some fun ideas: Write a poem about a tree, and print your poem in the shape of a tree. Write a poem about love, and print it in the shape of a heart. Write a poem about a cloud, and print it in the shape of a cloud.
Gather a blank piece of paper and a pencil and give it a go! Take a look at a quick video example here.
Submit your poem to Quarantine Creations here.
Please provide your name or nickname and a short description of the project to be featured on the Library's social media. Want to see what's been submitted? Check out our Quarantine Creations Facebook album here!
