Mayor Lori Lightfoot and Governor J. B. Pritzker do not want us out and about right now, exploring the Windy City and its environs. But, that doesn’t mean you can’t do a little virtual sightseeing of some of the great marvels this Second City has to offer.
The Chicagoland area is home to the largest collection of Frank Lloyd Wright-designed structures in the world. This is where you’ll find some of the iconic architect’s most influential works, including two UNESCO World Heritage sites — the Frederick C. Robie House in Hyde Park and Oak Park’s Unity Temple.
The District currently includes 59,000 people. Half of them live in the Village of Niles in the southern half of the District. The north half of the District includes unincorporated Des Plaines and Glenview.
