Reading practice or excuse to cuddle with friendly dog? Call 847-663-6622 to reserve a 20 minute slot.
Our friendly dogs and owners volunteer their time via Rainbow Assisted Therapy so are very comfortable helping children. Your child reads for 20 minutes and gives the dog a treat (which we provide!). Bring your own books or pick from our selection in room. Child must be comfortable being in room without parent, not afraid of dogs and must be able to read pretty independently for 20 minutes. If that is too long, consider sharing the slot with another child. Slots are at 7pm, 7:20pm and 7:40pm. Call Debbie at 847-663-6622 to reserve a slot. Preference is given to younger children/Niles cardholders for earlier slots.
