Learn how to forage safely and ethically with wild food instructor, Natalie Evans. We will go on a plant walk at Miami Woods (8201 N. Caldwell) to discover wild food growing all around us!
Natalie Evans has been studying and teaching foraging for 11 years. Her focus is on safe and ethical foraging. Natalie will share her knowledge about wild food, then we will go on a plant walk to identify edible plants in the forest preserve. Please note, no picking or taking plants from the forest preserve is allowed. The walk is for educational and identifying purposes.
Meet at Miami Woods, located at 8201 N. Caldwell, Morton Grove, IL 60053, at the picnic shelter in Grove Number 1. Please dress comfortably for the weather. Water bottles and sunscreen highly recommended. The walking path at Miami Woods is paved, but the path to the picnic area from the parking lot is not paved.
