This is not a live program. The 28th of each month is when your answers to this month's book discussion questions are due in order to receive 3 hours. Registrants will be emailed the questions.
Social justice issues can be complicated and deeply personal. They impact our laws and often determine our sense of public safety and belonging. Understanding the history and current state of oppression requires a commitment to learning and unpacking our own biases requires the desire to do better.
Joining this club means you’re dedicated to both of these actions.
Each month you will have the opportunity to earn 3 volunteer hours by reading and answering questions related to a pre-chosen YA book about a social justice issue. Teens must submit their answers to that month’s discussion questions by the 28th. Ms. Rachel will email you information regarding what you should read, plus the questions you need to answer to earn your volunteer hours.
Email us at teen@nileslibrary.org with any questions you might have about this program.
Let’s read in solidarity and imagine the world we want to build together!
